Visa, work permit and residence permit application centers

To apply for a Lithuanian Schengen business visa, work permit in Lithuania or a temporary residence permit in Lithuania the applicant has to register an account on the VFS global website and make online reservation at his chosen visa office center to submit documents. If you do not have a visa center in your native country to process Lithuanian visa or a residence permit application, you may reach any nearest visa center to apply for the visa if you are applicable to.

Citizens of countries where there is no external service provider will be able to apply for a temporary residence permit in Lithuania through an external service provider in another country if they plan to come to Lithuania on the basis of family reunification, intend to work in a highly skilled job (blue card), is being transferred within a company, have been invited to study.
Applicants for short term C type visas and long term national type D visas have no restrictions to apply in any external service provided office.

VFS global visa office center which accepts business visa, work permit and residence permit applications for Lithuania are located in following countries:

Work permit, residence permit and D type visa applications can be lodged here: Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, the Philippines, Ghana, India, Israel, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, New Zealand, the Republic of South Africa, Georgia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.

Branches in India, Azerbaijan, Ghana, and Mongolia will accept applications only on grounds of highly skilled workers (requires at least bachelor degree to qualify), family reunification and study.

C type Visa application can be lodged here: Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, the Philippines, Ghana, India, Israel, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, New Zealand, the Republic of South Africa, Georgia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe

In some other countries Lithuania does not have their own embassies or VFS global visa office centers to apply at. It takes time while Lithuania’s government will develop and establish application centers in the remaining countries abroad.

In the following countries there are other country embassies processing visas on behalf of Lithuania, here you can apply only for visas, they do not process work permit and residence permit applications.
